Norman Baker MP Minister of Transport visited our depot at Beddington Lane on 12th October to officially open it.

Mr Baker said:

"The Coalition Government wants to encourage more projects that find innovative solutions to local issues.  

"It is at a local level that most can be done to change patterns of behaviour and encourage more sustainable travel, especially for short journeys. 

"And in an environment of tighter budgets and greater local flexibility, the Government is determined to help reduce bureaucracy and get even better value for money from local transport funding.

"The team at Sutton Community Transport are rightly proud of their sustainable initiative and I would like to be the first to congratulate them for being so far ahead of the game."
